This change pins PyYAML, an upstream dependency for bandit, to be
<=5.2. Version 5.3+ drops support for Python 3.4, which breaks any
tests run using Python 3.4. When PyKMIP drops support for Python
3.4, this change can be reverted.
This change pins the upstream tox dependency to version 3.14.1
and the more_itertools dependency to version 7.2.0. The latest
versions of these tools released in late November and early
December 2019 have begun to drop support for Python 3.4, breaking
various test builds on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (at this time the updates
have only made their way into the upstream packages for this OS).
This will likely soon spread to all other Python 3.4 builds, so for
now, short cut the issue by avoiding newer library releases. Once
PyKMIP drops support for Python 3.4, this change can be undone.
This change updates the Travis CI configuration file to output the
contents of the PyKMIP server and SLUGS log files if:
* a test failure occurred, and
* the log files exist in the test environment
This makes debugging server and service failures much easier in
Travis CI, specifically during integration and functional test
suite runs.
This change adds official library support for Python 3.7, including
updating the testing infrastructure for both tox and Travis CI and
updating the library package metadata in setup.py.
This change adds Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) as a target test
platform in the Travis CI configuration file. New test builds for
all unit, integration, functional, style, security, and doc checks
should now be built for Xenial during continuous integration runs.
This change adds a new integration test suite, named 'functional',
that is specifically intended to test third-party authentication
and group-based access control with the PyKMIP server. A new tox
environment is added to handle running these tests separately from
the existing 'integration' test suite. New Travis CI configuration
and setup files have also been added to facilitate running these
tests automatically.
This change updates the Travis CI configuration to support running
the PyKMIP integation test suite. A custom run.sh script is added
which conditionally runs tox based on an environment flag set in
.travis.yml. If integration tests are activated, the test VM will
be prepped for running the PyKMIP server; this includes creating
/etc/pykmip content, like pykmip.conf and server.conf, along with
a basic certificate to use for both the client and server.
This change drops Python 3.3 support for PyKMIP. Python 3.3 was
released over 5 years ago and has reached end-of-life as of
September 19, 2017 with the 3.3.7 release. Library dependencies
have begun to drop Python 3.3 support as well.
This change updates the Travis CI configuration file to expand
the test suite, allowing it to run on multiple Ubuntu backends,
specifically Precise (12.04 LTS) and Trusty (14.04 LTS).
This change removes PyKMIP support for Python2.6. The last release
of Python2.6 occurred in October 2013, over 3 years ago. It also
does not support security features needed to use PyKMIP according
to best practices. This change drops tox and TravisCI settings for
Python2.6 and updates setup to no longer categorize the library as
Python2.6 compliant. The README has been updated accordingly.
Closes#116
This change removes coveralls integration from PyKMIP, specifically
the tox and TravisCI configuration files. codecov will be the
primary coverage tool used going forward.
