This change updates the attribute factory, replacing the custom
ObjectGroup class with the proper usage of the TextString
primitive. ObjectGroup attribute usage and testing has been
updated across the library to reflect this change.
This change adds ApplicationSpecificInformation attribute support
to the server, allowing for the storage and retrieval of the new
attribute in addition to object filtering based on its value. New
unit tests have been added to cover the new changes.
This change updates the ApplicationSpecificInformation attribute
implementation to reflect modern library style. Property methods
have been added alongside tighter read/write error checking. The
unit tests for the attribute have been updated to reflect all of
the new changes.
This change updates the PyKMIP object hierarchy's read/write
method signatures to support propagation of the KMIP version. The
introduction of KMIP 2.0 introduces future KMIP message encodings
that break backwards compatibility; to support this, PyKMIP must
know what KMIP version is being used when encoding or decoding an
object; the KMIP version residing in the client or server alone
is now insufficient. Prior versions of KMIP, namely 1.0 - 1.4,
have been backwards compatible, obviating the need for the KMIP
version at encode/decode time. Going forward, this is no longer
true.
The PyKMIP client and server have been updated to include the
KMIP version when making calls to read/write, as have the
associated test cases covering this functionality.
This change removes unused exceptions defined in core/errors.py,
along with the errors.py module itself. The few used items from
this file are migrated over to core/exceptions.py. Any dependent
code is updated, dropping the use of errors.py and adding in the
use of exceptions.py.
This change renames the CertificateTypeEnum enumeration to
CertificateType, matching the naming schemes of all other
enumerations. This is a backwards incompatible change and
will break any scripts or programs that use the current
CertificateTypeEnum name.
This change adds support for the DerivationParameters struct,
which is needed for DeriveKey support. Unit tests are included to
cover all newly added code.
This change updates the CryptographicParameters struct, removing the
primitive class wrappers that it used to use for attribute values
and replacing them with struct properties that internally manage the
primitive objects directly. This gutting and regutting necessitates
cascading changes to every part of the library that used these
internal primitive class wrappers, including unit tests, client and
client tests, and attribute factory handlers. All of these have been
updated to reflect the correct usage of the CryptographicParameters
struct.
This change also adds in additional attribute members for the
CryptographicParameters struct to bring it up to spec with KMIP 1.2.
The ProxyKmipClient now allows you to optionally provide a name
when performing a `Create` or a `Create Key Pair`. If not specified,
the name is excluded from the request.
* For `create`, users specify `name`
* For `create_key_pair`, users specify `private_name` and `public_name`
Resolves#208
This change adds some utility methods, including equality operators
and string methods, to the ApplicationSpecificInformation attribute.
Unit tests covering the changes are included.
This pull request:
- Adds the comparison operators to the following classes:
-- Attribute.AttributeName class
- Fixes bug in the "_create_cryptographic_parameters" function when "None" type parameters are used
- Adds read, write, and comparator unit tests for the Attribute class in the /kmip/core/objects.py file

This change updates the Enumeration primitive, adding a fresh
implementation and documentation. An updated unit test suite for the
primitive is included. Numerous changes to Enumeration usage across the
library are also included to comply with the updated implementation.
This change removes all references to self.__class__. In object
hierarchies with multiple levels of inheritance, using self.__class__
can cause an infinite loop when resolving references to parent classes.
This change polishes and reorganizes the implementation of the
Certificate managed object and its required subclasses. It adds in
documentation and test suites for all modified classes and updates the
SecretFactory to support creating default Certificate objects.
This change updates the various Application attributes, adding inline
documentation, and reorganizing the different related test suites. Minor
updates to supporting primitive objects are included.
This change adds support for the CreateKeyPair operation, adding in
required KMIP attributes and objects and updating the KMIP client. Minor
changes to the server are also made in preparation for future changes.
The unit test suite has been updated accordingly.
This change adds the OperationPolicyName attribute, extending support to
the AttributeValueFactory. Test cases are included for the creation
process for both the factory and the individual attribute.
This change includes several new features to PyKMIP, including:
* support for Python 3.3 and 3.4
* support for KMIP client/server SSL connections
* removal of all Thrift library dependencies
This implementation supports version 1.1 of the KMIP spec. The
library supports the following operations for SymmetricKey objects:
create
register
get
destroy
