QemuFwCfg is much more powerful than BhyveFwCtl. Sadly, BhyveFwCtl decided to use the same IO ports as QemuFwCfg. It's not possible to use both interfaces simultaneously. So, prefer QemuFwCfg over BhyveFwCtl.
