Spent hours researching and comparing color names in Windows 95 to
colors in this theme and renamed/replaced where appropriate. This is
being done in anticipation of a new release of Plus! and some other
tools
Updated filechooser scrolled window to meet consistency with rest of theme.
Updated whisker menu panel button to a border image.
Updated dialogue button min-height min width so label is centred.
Updated frames
Updated notebook padding.
Updated paned separators to share the same separator used in menus.
Updated scrolledwindows to meet consistency with rest of theme.
Updated treeviews to better accurately emulate Windows 95.
Updated viewports.
Updated the settings.ini file to enable menu images (also to enable mnemonics, but that GTK disables those now so what’s the point?)
Removed paned separators which were recently added for testing – not needed.
Fixed expanded treeview path lines (unfortunately line only. Doesn’t seem dotted lines are possible?)
Fixed a mistake in gtk-list_cell_and_rows.
Made some adjustments to Thunar to better resemble Explorer.
Made some adjustments to statusbars as a whole to reduce the space they take.
Made some adjustments to XFCE terminal and Thunar notebook tab sizes to reduce the space they take.
This will address issues with the theme displaying a white background for desktops using the Nautilus file manager for handling desktop icons.
Included optional colors for adjusting the label text of nautilus desktop shortcuts.
Changed popover label background colour to something more obvious.
Removed the background from radio buttons.
Changed popover modelbutton arrow on hover
This should bring some consistency to the header-bar button sizes.
The symbolic printer icon was missing in the icon theme, causing a print button in the GNOME FeedReader to default to a much larger version on the same icon, which would cause the other titlebar buttons to increase in size. There are bound to be other icons that will cause a similar effect.
This will return the small indicator marks seen in some scales.
This will also return the dotted outline when a scale is focused. There was a comment about it being ugly, so we'll see!
This removes the old override border settings for the XFCE panel bar seeing that a border image works better and without requiring a theme override.
Unfortunately still not the case for Thunar...
Testing branding themes in the Whisker Menu to replicate Windows95 branding seen in the Start Menu
Updating the MS Sans serif font config file to enable font hinting. As well as update install instructions
Added a section for common issues often reported in the issue tracker or by email.
Changed some of the language to present the theme as operating systems agnostic.
Fixed combobox arrows so they would appear accurately scaled (also for Libreoffice too.) Applies to GTK3.22 and GTK3.24. This does not apply for the Cinnamon desktop, but only GTK applications.
Readjusted the scaling of treeview arrows so they should appear more defined and not blurry.
Disabled backdrop theming for toolbar buttons since it not necessary for this theme.
