This affects all interfaces which are using the CompatUtility class
format helpers for short and long output.

* Remove use of spaces for formatting
These could be found by using `grep -r -l -P '^\t+ +[^*]'
* Removal of training whitespaces
* A few lines longer than 120 chars

Corresponding to the indented tabwidth of 2 and a sub-indention on curly
