Leif Lindholm 74376f0b72 ArmPkg,ArmPkg/ArmExceptionLib: drop vector relocation variant/support
There were several bugs in the vector table relocation code which means
it can't really have been used by anyone on AArch64 in the last decade or
so. So delete the support code from the library, as well as the
ArmRelocateExceptionLib.inf file.

This gets rid of PcdDebuggerExceptionSupport (including a duff reference
in CpuDxe), PcdCpuVectorBaseAddress and PcdRelocateVectorTable.

Ard Biesheuvel 555bbc6643 ArmPkg/ArmGic: Drop GICv2 legacy support
Support for GICv2 legacy mode was introduced to accommodate secure world
firmware that was lagging behind in terms of development, and was
running the GIC in v2 mode on the secure side for lack of a GICv3
driver.

As per the GIC architecture, the non-secure world can only run the GIC
in v3 mode if the secure world does so too.

At this point, there is no longer a need to for this fallback: GICv2
support it still needed for platforms such as Raspberry Pi 4 that do not
implement GICv3 at all. But on platforms that do implement it, falling
back to GICv2 is unnecessary.

Levi Yun 843f4fd60d ArmPkg: Add FF-A related dynamic Pcd and Guid
To communicate with spmc or spmd, UEFI needs to map the Rx/Tx buffer
(which is a global resource in a partition)
by getting the required information from the partition descriptor.

for this, Define ArmFfaLib related Pcd and Guid.

Pcd:
  - PcdFfaLibConduitSmc
      conudit to use ArmFfaLib.

  - PcdFfaTxBufeer
      address of Tx buffer.

  - PcdFfaRxBuffer:
      address of Rx buffer.

  - PcdTxRxPageCount:
specify buffer size with EFI_PAGE_SIZE unit.

  - PcdFfaExitBootEventRegistered:
check exit boot event registered to unmap rx/tx buffer.

Guid:
   - gArmFfaRxTxBufferInfoGuid:
This is used in Hob to get Rx/Tx buffer information to pass

Ard Biesheuvel 32460bb5b1 ArmPkg: Allow SMC/HVC monitor conduit to be specified at runtime
ArmVirtQemu may execute at EL2, in which case monitor calls are
generally made using SMC instructions instead of HVC instructions.

Whether or not this is the case can only be decided at runtime, and so
the associated PCD needs to be settable at runtime, if the platform
definition chooses so. This implies a boolean PCD, given that a feature
PCD is build-time configurable only.

Ard Biesheuvel 1034d223f8 ArmPkg/CpuDxe: Perform preliminary NX remap of free memory
The DXE core implementation of PcdDxeNxMemoryProtectionPolicy already
contains an assertion that EfiConventionalMemory and EfiBootServicesData
are subjected to the same policy when it comes to the use of NX
permissions. The reason for this is that we may otherwise end up with
unbounded recursion in the page table code, given that allocating a page
table would then involve a permission attribute change, and this could
result in the need for a block entry to be split, which would trigger
the allocation of a page table recursively.

For the same reason, a shortcut exists in ApplyMemoryProtectionPolicy()
where, instead of setting the memory attributes unconditionally, we
compare the NX policies and avoid touching the page tables if they are
the same for the old and the new memory types. Without this shortcut, we
may end up in a situation where, as the CPU arch protocol DXE driver is
ramping up, the same unbounded recursion is triggered, due to the fact
that the NX policy for EfiConventionalMemory has not been applied yet.

To break this cycle, let's remap all EfiConventionalMemory regions
according to the NX policy for EfiBootServicesData before exposing the
CPU arch protocol to the DXE core and other drivers. This ensures that
creating EfiBootServicesData allocations does not result in memory
attribute changes, and therefore no recursion.

Pierre Gondois 5de2a54b2c ArmPkg/PlatformBootManagerLib: Add path to boot UEFI Shell over UiApp
The UEFI Shell is a non-active boot option, at the opposite of UiApp.
If no valid boot option is found, UiApp is selected. UiApp requires a
human interaction. When installing a new EDKII image in CIs or when
scripting is required, this is problematic.

If no valid boot option is discovered, add a path to directly go to
the UEFI Shell where the startup.nsh script is automatically executed.
The UEFI Shell is launched after connecting possible devices, but
before the reset that is meant to automatically make them visible.

The new PcdUefiShellDefaultBootEnable must be set to TRUE to enable

Ard Biesheuvel 31b1638468 ArmPkg/ArmMmuLib: Reuse XIP MMU routines when splitting entries
In order to reduce the likelihood that we will need to rely on the logic
that disables and re-enables the MMU for updating a page table entry
safely, expose the XIP version of the helper routine via a HOB and use
it instead of the one that is copied into DRAM. Since the XIP copy is
already clean to the PoC, and will never end up getting unmapped during
a block entry split, we can use it safely without any cache maintenance,
and without running the risk of pulling the rug from under our feet when
updating an entry by going through an invalid mapping.

Nhi Pham 6254037223 ArmPkg: Implement PlatformBootManagerLib for LinuxBoot
LinuxBoot is a firmware that replaces specific firmware functionality
like the UEFI DXE phase with a Linux kernel and runtime. It is built-in
UEFI image like an application, which is executed at the end of DXE
phase.

To achieve the LinuxBoot boot flow "SEC->PEI->DXE->BDS->LinuxBoot",
today we use the common well-known GUID of UEFI Shell for LinuxBoot
payload, so LinuxBoot developers can effortlessly find the UEFI Shell
Application and replace it with the LinuxBoot payload without
recompiling platform EDK2 (There might be an issue with a few systems
that don't have a UEFI Shell). Also, we have a hard requirement to force
the BDS to boot into the LinuxBoot as it is essentially required that
only the LinuxBoot boot option is permissible and UEFI is an
intermediate bootstrap phase. Considering all the above, it is
reasonable to just have a new GUID for LinuxBoot and require a LinuxBoot
specific BDS implementation. In addition, with making the BDS
implementation simpler, we can reduce many DXE drivers which we think it
is not necessary for LinuxBoot booting.

This patch adds a new PlatformBootManagerLib implementation which
registers only the gArmTokenSpaceGuid.PcdLinuxBootFileGuid for LinuxBoot
payload as an active boot option. It allows BDS to jump to the LinuxBoot
quickly by skipping the UiApp and UEFI Shell.

The PlatformBootManagerLib library derived from
ArmPkg/Library/PlatformBootManagerLib.

Achin Gupta eed947be0b ArmPkg/ArmMmuLib: Add MMU Library suitable for use in S-EL0.
The Standalone MM environment runs in S-EL0 in AArch64 on ARM Standard
Platforms. Privileged firmware e.g. ARM Trusted Firmware sets up its
architectural context including the initial translation tables for the
S-EL1/EL0 translation regime. The MM environment will still request ARM
TF to change the memory attributes of memory regions during
initialization.

The Standalone MM image is a FV that encapsulates the MM foundation
and drivers. These are PE-COFF images with data and text segments.
To initialise the MM environment, Arm Trusted Firmware has to create
translation tables with sane default attributes for the memory
occupied by the FV. This library sends SVCs to ARM Trusted Firmware
to request memory permissions change for data and text segments.

Implement ResetSystemLib's EnterS3WithImmediateWake() routine using
a jump back to the PEI entry point with interrupts and MMU+caches
disabled. This is only possible at boot time, when we are sure that
the current CPU is the only one up and running. Also, it depends on
the platform whether the PEI code is preserved in memory (it may be
copied to DRAM rather than execute in place), so also add a feature
PCD to selectively enable this feature.

Girish Pathak 4f2494cf53 ArmPkg: Introduce SCMI protocol
This change introduces a new SCMI protocol driver for
Arm systems. The driver currently supports only clock
and performance management protocols. Other protocols
will be added as and when needed.

Clock management protocol is used to configure various clocks
available on the platform e.g. HDLCD clock on the Juno platforms.

Whereas performance management protocol allows adjustment
of various performance domains. Currently this is used to evaluate
performance of the Juno platform.

Laszlo Ersek bacfd6ed8c ArmPkg/CpuDxe: order CpuDxe after ArmGicDxe via protocol depex
Commit 61a7b0ec63 ("ArmPkg/Gic: force GIC driver to run before CPU arch
protocol driver", 2018-02-06) explains why CpuDxe should be dispatched
after ArmGicDxe.

To implement the ordering, we should use a regular protocol depex rather
than the less flexible AFTER opcode. ArmGicDxe installs
gHardwareInterruptProtocolGuid and gHardwareInterrupt2ProtocolGuid as one
of the last actions on its entry point stack; either of those is OK for
CpuDxe to wait for.

Ard Biesheuvel 61a7b0ec63 ArmPkg/Gic: force GIC driver to run before CPU arch protocol driver
Currently, the GIC driver has a static dependency on the CPU arch protocol
driver, so it can register its IRQ handler at init time. This means there
is a window between dispatch of the CPU driver and dispatch of the GIC
driver where any unexpected GIC state may trigger an interrupt which we
are not set up to handle yet. Note that this is even the case if we enter
UEFI with interrupts disabled at the CPU, given that any TPL manipulation
involving TPL_HIGH_LEVEL will unconditionally enable IRQs at the CPU side
regardless of whether they were enabled to begin with (but only as soon as
the CPU arch protocol is actually installed)

So let's reorder the GIC driver with the CPU driver, and let it run its
initialization that puts the GIC into a known state before enabling
interrupts. Move its installation of its IRQ handler to a protocol notify
callback on the CPU arch protocol so that it runs as soon as it becomes
available.

Ard Biesheuvel dcd48d2db4 ArmPkg: remove UncachedMemoryAllocationLib
Now that ArmDmaLib can take care of its own memory allocation needs,
let's get rid of UncachedMemoryAllocationLib entirely. This forces
platforms to declare the required semantics (non-cache coherent DMA,
whichever way it is implemented), rather than using uncached memory
allocations directly, which may not always be the right choice, and
prevents sharing of drivers between platforms if one is cache coherent
and the other is not.
