Fix LocateDevicePath() to return proper error status code. It was returning EFI_INVALID_PARAMETER if Device was NULL even if not handles matched the search criteria. The proper behavior is to return EFI_NOT_FOUND if not handles match the search criteria, and only return EFI_INVALID_PARAMETER if at least one match is found and Device is NULL.

Also update function header comment block for LocateDevicePath() to match UEFI Specification.

1. The old refresh string code also update the time/date opcode. But for the reason that time/date opcode updates the string with the same size, so skip the refresh code for it.

Bug description:

When the menu is refresh type, and the old string is longer than new string, after refresh, some old string will still show.
The mainly change is:
1. This change cleans the old string first and then paints the new string.

1) Add PcdSerialDetectCable to MdeModulePkg to enable/disable cable detection if hardware flow control is enabled. The default is to not perform cable detection.

2) Update BaseSerialPortLib16550 to use this new PCD.
This addresses an issue that was introduced on Feb 3, 2011 when all references to Carrier Detect(CD) were removed from the BaseSerialPortLib16550. When that change was made, a target would block on the first Tx operation if hardware flow control was enabled and no cable or serial application was running on a host. Now the behavior when no cable is connected or no serial app is running on the host is controlled through a PCD. The default is for the target to continue execution even if there is no cable or serial app running. If PcdSerialDetectCable is set to TRUE, then the target will block on any transmit that does not have a cable connected or a serial app running in the host.
If hardware flow control is disabled, then this update will have no impact on behavior.

1. Abstract the maximum baseline and character height in Proportional Font package as its baseline and line height, and use fixed height as base line and line height for simple font packages.

Clean ISA_IO/ISA_IO_16 and VGA_IO/VGA_IO_16 attribute usage in PCI bus driver/PCI host bridge drivers/LPC/VGA device drivers.
...
1. Fix the incorrect definition of EFI_PCI_IO_ATTRIBUTE_VGA_IO_16 (does not conform to the UEFI spec) in PciIo.h.
2. Add missing definitions of ISA and VGA IO attributes in PCI Root Bridge IO protocol.
3. Improve the algorithm in the PCI bus driver to get PCI platform policy from PCI Platform Protocol and PCI Override Protocol.
4. Update the PCI bus driver to use the PCI platform policy to determine the supported attributes that are returned by the EFI_PCI_IO_PROTOCOL.Attributes() function. This is required by the PI spec.
5. Add a backward compatibility workaround for PCI VGA drivers in Option ROM, which typically sets VGA_IO without checking supported attributes.
6. Update the PCI host bridge driver in PcAtChipsetPkg to report VGA_IO_16 and ISA_IO_16 instead of VGA_IO/ISA_IO attributes. Modern chipsets don’t have hardware capability to control 10-bit or 16-bit decoding for ISA/VGA aliases.
7. Update LPC/VGA device drivers to check supported attributes of VGA_IO/VGA_IO_16 or ISA_IO/ISA_IO_16.

The PCI HotPlug Init Protocol returns a list of Root HPC, but it is possible that some HPCs in the list are not found during PCI enumeration. In this case, the PCI HotPlug Init Protocol.InitializeRootHpc() will not be called for the un-found HPCs. However, in AllRootHPCInitialized(), all reported HPCs are checked to see if it has been initialized, so TIME_OUT happens.
...
This check-in fix the issue by adding a flag to indicate if a HPC is found during PCI enumeration or not. This check-in also adds a debug message if any found HPC failed with initialization.

Some existing PCI adapters with UEFI option ROMs make unaligned requests through the PCI I/O Protocol. Add support for unaligned requests in the PCI IO protocol implementation in the PCI Bus driver to be compatible with those UEFI option ROMs.

This solution defines a PCD Feature Flag to enabled support for unaligned requests through the PCI I/O Protocol. This flag is disabled by default. Platforms that do want to support such EFI/UEFI drivers that make unaligned PCI I/O requests should enable this feature.

Per the UEFI spec, if a PCI controller is a P2P bridge, then the I/O, Memory and Bus Master bits in the Command register of the PCI configuration header should be placed in the enabled state by the PCI Bus driver.
...
But current PCI bus driver has a bug that if a P2P bridge has no child devices detected during enumeration, the bits won’t be set. This may impact PCI hot plug capable bridges because the OS may re-assign resources for them causing the reserved resource by the firmware will be overwritten.

Remove PI SMM IPL's dependency on CPU AP so that PI SMM IPL can be dispatched before the CPU AP is installed.

Update IPsec.h file to follow approved ECR which will be collected into future UEFI 2.3 Specification after 2.3 errata B and future UEFI Specifications after 2.3. The changes mainly include:
...
1. Add EFI_IPSEC2_PROTOCOL
2. Remove IPsec Authentication Algorithm Definition and IPsec Encryption Algorithm
Definition.
3. Add EFI_IPSEC_SA_DATA2 data structure.
And also update IPv4 driver to call EFI_IPSEC2_PROTOCOL.

1. Stop UdpWrite instance upon return from EfiPxeBcUdpWrite() to avoid mass pkgs enqueue to this useless instance in Udp layer.
2. Enhance Udp timeout logic to prevent the worst case happen, and set PxeUdp instance to 50ms to avoid enqueue mass pkgs in background.

Fixed Ip4 bug that causing Iscsi reconnect hang sporadically . In Ip4OutPut()->Ip4IpSecProcessPacket() line 511, each time "reconnect -r", IpSb is re-allocated in IpDriver.Start(). But only when the first time, IpSb->OldMaxPacketSize = IpSb->MaxPacketSize; For the sequential reconnect, IpSb->OldMaxPacketSize is left dirty. Somtimes it is 0, causing the next sending packages generate exception.

Fix 64-bit bug in DxeIpl. You can't cast an & UINT64 to a UINT32 *, as the upper 32-bits do not get updated. In my case there was data on the stack for the upper 32-bits and it caused the size to be greater than 4GB.

Fix bugs in the PCI bus driver to support SR-IOV.

1. Expand the type of Offset in the _PCI_BAR structure from UINT8 to UINT16, because a VF BAR’s offset may be >= 0x100;
2. Enable ARI Capable Hierarchy for SR-IOV devices at earlier time because FirstVFOffset and VFStride of a SR-IOV device may change after its ARI Capable Hierarchy is set;
3. Change type of PcdSrIovSupport, PcdAriSupport, PcdMrIovSupport from FeatureFlag to [FixAtBuild, PcdDynamics], which allows SR-IOV/MR-IOV/ARI feature can be turn on/off dynamically, typically via a setup option.
4. Change PCI bus scan algorithm in PciScanBus() to prevent the case where some ARI extended functions may be skipped in the scan loop.

Fix issue with ARM port. Image.c shadow code is not ANSI C and crashes on ARM. So I did the same thing that is done on Itanium and skipped the shadow for ARM architecture in all cases.

Initialize lists ArpService->PendingRequestTable/DeniedCacheTable/ResolvedCacheTable before firing timer ArpService->PeriodicTimer. This remove the race condition in ArpCreateService(): it is possible for the timer event to trigger before the lists are initialized which will results in a hang in ArpTimerHandler().

Fix bug in PciHostBridgeEnumerator().
...
A linked list is created for the list of PCI Root Bridges in the platform. This list is then traversed to enumerate each PCI Root Bridge. After enumeration, the RootBridgeDev is destroyed, but it was not removed from the linked list before it was destroyed. This left the linked list of PCI Root Bridges in a bad state, specially if memory is cleared on frees, or the freed buffer was reallocated.
The fix is to remove the node from the linked list before the RootBridgeDev is destroyed.

Avoid DEBUG_CLEAR_MEMORY clearing MemoryMap internal structure.
...
In CoreFreePages(), the following sequence might break the MemoryMap internal structure:
CoreConvertPages() -> CoreFreeMemoryMapStack() -> AllocateMemoryMapEntry() -> CoreAllocatePoolPages() -> DEBUG_CLEAR_MEMORY()
CoreConvertPages() will call CoreFreeMemoryMapStack() after it adds the freed memory range, so the latter might use the just freed memory range when calling AllocateMemoryMapEntry(). But CoreFreePages() will call DEBUG_CLEAR_MEMORY() after CoreConvertPages(). This might clear up the memory map entry structure.
The fix calls DEBUG_CLEAR_MEMORY() just after freed memory range is added in CoreConvertPages(), which is safe.

The patch attached is to fix the issue that LMFA feature is failed on OVMF. The root cause is that OVMF platform reserved 128k top memory range for EMU variable range before PEI memory range re-locate to specified memory range, which is quite different from real platform. The original implementation has an assumption that AllocatePage will NOT be invoked until PEI memory range is re-located to preassigned memory range, , which is TRUE in most real platform, but FALSE on OVMF platform. So This patch is to enhanced the memory resource HOB re-organization algorithm to eliminate the assumption.

Fix the SMRAM caching range base and size. The original code uses the biggest SMRAM range base and size to set the cache attribute by gDS->SetMemorySpaceAttributes(). This is not correct because the platform code might split the TSEG into several ranges. The fix searches and joins all the adjacent ranges to the biggest SMRAM range into a cacheable range so that TSEG can be cached as a whole.

roll back the parameter check of AsyncInterruptTransfer() and SyncInterruptTransfer() of Usb2HcProtocol to follow current uefi spec.
...
current uefi spec only supports interrupt in endpoint.
but there are usb devices which support interrupt out endpoint. we propose to update uefi spec to remove the limitation. after the ecr is approved, the corresponding patch will be submitted.

Change back the TPL of PCD from TPL_CALLBACK to TPL_NOTIFY because the following issue is found:
...
When we manually connect a device path mapping to the serial terminal with non-default band rate, the SerialIo driver would Reinstall its device path protocol eventually causing ConSplitter::DriverBindingStart() to run and finally would call PcdGet32 (PcdConOutColumn) in ConsplitterSetConsoleOutMode().
Since SerialIo driver raises TPL to TPL_NOTIFY initially, the call to PcdGet32 would cause TPL assertion if TPL of PCD is TPL_CALLBACK.

The background is :
The SmmMemoryAllocationLib of one of the instance of MemoryAllocation library class. As in MdePkg comment for AllocatePool() : “If AllocationSize is 0, then a valid buffer of 0 size is returned.”,the SMM library implements AllocatePool by SMST service SmmAllocatePool which does NOT support the zero size.

Add EfiCpuArchProtocol dependency for PiSmmIpl module. The reason to add this is PiSmmIpl will call gDS->SetMemorySpaceAttributes() which will locate CPU Arch Protocol to set MTRRs. Without this dependency, the locate might fail and MTRRs are never set in this case.

TPL of Pcd Dxe driver was changed to TPL_CALLBACK from TPL_NOTIFY to follow UEFI spec that caller of variable interface should run at TPL <= TPL_CALLBACK.

The change is to enable PcdsDynamicHii in Duet platform. Duet's variable driver should run at TPL <= TPL_CALLBACK so Pcd Dxe driver should run at TPL <= TPL_CALLBACK.

Enhance memory copy logic for PEI core image read. The change uses CopyMem() library function for unshadowed version and uses inline implementation for a shadowed version. This reduces PE image reading time to 1/5 - 1/10 when code cache is disabled. The change also fixed a memory leak when allocating shadow space for image read function.

2) Change ARCHITECTURAL_PROTOCOL_ENTRY name to EFI_CORE_PROTOCOL_NOTIFY_ENTRY so it can be used for both Architectural Protocols and optional protocols that the DXE Core may use. Also remove BOOLEAN ArchitecturalProtocol field, so it is back to its original form.
3) Put mArchProtocols[] back to its original form, but add a NULL entry at the end so the end of the table can be easily detected in loops
4) Add mOptionalProtocols[] that at this time only has the SMM Base 2 Protocol in it.
5) Add NULL entry to mMissingProtocols[] so the end of the table can be easily detected.

Fix crash in UnixPkg and BeagleBoard caused by gSmmBase2 getting added to the now incorectly named mARchProtocols list. CoreDispatchMissingArchProtocols() did to check to see if the element was an AP (not all are now). Also Missing entry was not bounds checked, it was assumed to be <= Index witch is no longer true. So in both UnixPkg and BeagleBoard the loop was blowing past the end and garbage data caused page faults. Also add m prefix to global.

Update DXE Core to be compatible with PI 1.2 SMM Drivers.

PI 1.2 SMM Drivers are allowed to call UEFI/DXE services and Protocols from the entry point of the PI 1.2 SMM Driver. These UEFI/DXE services and Protocols may directly or indirectly calls the UEFI Boot Services RaiseTPL() and RestoreTPL(). These UEFI Boot Services use the CPU Architectural Protocol to enable interrupts if the TPL level is below TPL_HIGH_LEVEL and enable interrupts of the TPL is at TPL_HIGH_LEVEL. Interrupts should be masked while executing SMM drivers, so if a direct or indirect call to the UEFI Boot Service RestoreTPL() would enable interrupts, then an interrupt could be incorrectly delivered in SMM context.
The solution is for the DXE Core to register for the PI 1.2 SMM Base2 Protocol. If that protocol is present in the platform, then the DXE Core can use the SMM Base 2 Protocol's InSmm() function to determine if the platform is currently executing in SMM content. If the current context is in SMM, then do not allow any requests to be forwarded to the CPU Architecture Protocol to enable interrupts.

Fix the issue that unknown format FV in Fvhob is installed for FvInfoPpi more than one time. The fixing is search dispatched Fv database and cached unknown Fv information for all Fv in FvHob, if Fv has been identified by PeiCore, then no need install FvInfoPpi for it again.

Pass the correct TokenNumber into a CallbackOnSet notification function. The value being passed in was off by 1.

This would not normally cause an issue because the correct notification function was being called. There is only an issue if the same notification function is being used for multiple tokens, and the notification function needs to use the TokenNumber parameter to determine which token setting caused the callback function to be called.
Update the logic so the CallbackOnSet notification functions are not called with the internal PCD database lock in the acquired state. This allows other PCD Get/Set operations to be performed from within a CallbackOnSet notification.
Update logic so the PCD database lock is not left in the acquired state when SetWorker() returns EFI_INVALID_PARAMETER.

Cleanup INF file for PEI Core
...
1) Remove references to CPU I/O PPI and PCI CFG2 PPI. The PEI Core does have the PEI Services Table that caches a copy of these, but the PEI Core never produces a real version of these PPIs. Instead, the PEI Core only has a null implementation of the APIs so we can catch PIEMs that call these services before they are properly installed.

Update resource degrade algorithm in PCI bus driver. (1)If any child device has both option ROM and 64-bit BAR, degrade its PMEM64/MEM64 requests in case that if a legacy option ROM image can not access 64-bit resources. (2) If there are both PMEM64 and PMEM32 requests from child devices, which can not be satisfied by a P2P bridge simultaneously, keep PMEM64 and degrade PMEM32 to MEM32. (3) PMEM64/MEM64 are not supported when firmware is in 32-bit mode.

Enabling EFI_PEI_FIRMWARE_VOLUME_PPI introduced by PI1.2.

1, Implement EFI_PEI_FIRMWARE_VOLUME_PPI for FFS2 format as build-in supporting FV format in PeiCore.
2, Reduce the assumption of memory-mapped FV in PeiCore. PeiCore should access FV via EFI_PEI_FIRMWARE_VOLUME_PPI interface but not cast FvHandle/FileHandle to EFI_FIRMWARE_VOLUME_HEADER/EFI_FV_FILE_HEADER directly.
3, Reduce AllFv[] and AllFvCount in PEI_CORE_INSTANCE structure. Original PEI_CORE_INSTANCE use AllFv[] and Fv[] array to manage discovered FV and dispatched FV. But not need to make thing too complex. Now PEI_CORE_FV_HANDLE array of Fv[] will take responsibility to manage all FV instance and status.
4, Fix the bug use PeiDispatcher use wrong index for PeiFfsFindNextVolume(),
5, Fix the bug in PeiFfsFindNextVolume(), if instance is not found, *VolumeHandle should be set to NULL but not VolumeHandle was set to NULL.

Change the behavior of the HII Library function HiiGetHiiHandles() when the PackageListGuid parameter is not NULL. The original behavior is that if this parameter is not NULL at most 1 HII Handle is returned. Behavior after change is if this parameter is not NULL zero or more HII Handles associated with PackageListGuid are returned, because it is possible that there are multiple package lists with same package list GUID in the HII Database.

The fix removes the IPv6 header fields and notify the user with the ICMPv6 packet only containing payload.
TcpDxe/UdpDxe:
1. Update to adapt the new combined IpIoLib
2. Add gEfiIp6ProtocolGuid/gEfiIp6ServiceBindingProtocolGuid to [Protocols] in INF file since the Ip6.h is included in IpIoLib and NetLib.
3. Pass the TCP4/UDP4 UEFI SCT test on NT32 platform.

Update SetupBrowser to support call to SendForm() by specify a formset class GUID with input parameter FormsetGuid.

With this update, SendForm() could support formset class GUID other than EFI_HII_PLATFORM_SETUP_FORMSET_GUID, for example, the EFI_HII_DRIVER_HEALTH_FORMSET_GUID.

For the data region which will be touched by Pci Bus Master, we should allocate memory by PciIo.AllocateBuffer() but not AllocatePool() base library API. So the memory region can be used to map into Pci controller-specific address thru PciIo.Map().

Allow the FaultTolerantWriteDxe addresses to be dynamic PCD's.

EMU Variable: Add support for pre-reserved NV variable store.
...
Add PcdEmuVariableNvStoreReserved which allows a platform to declare a
memory address for the EMU Variable driver to use for the NV variable
store. The EMU Variable driver will look to see if the contents of
this memory range appear to be a valid variable store, and if so
the EMU driver will use the variables.
If a platform can preserve a memory range across system resets, this
feature can allow the EMU Variable driver's NV variable store to be
preserved across a system reset.
In the default case this PCD will be set as a fixed PCD with a value
of 0. In this case this new feature should have minimal impact on
the EMU Variable driver. (Perhaps a slight increase in code size,
but no functional difference is expected.)

Roll back the change in Partition driver. currently we enhance the EHCI driver to guarantee that the EHCI controller get attached to the EHCI controller before the UHCI driver attaches to the UHCI controller. This way can avoid the case happen that UHCI sees the disconnect and EHCI sees the connect event due to the control transfer in shared port. It may cause Partition.Start to be interrupted by Partition.Stop.

Fixed a bug that the system hangs with an assert in DiskIo.c that is division overflow due to block size == 0 when no flppy media is present in a specific type of USB floppy drive (NEC PC-VP-BU04)at power on.
...
Root cause is that Read Capacity command returns media not present error, then UsbMassStorage driver issues Sense Request command to get the sense data. However, the USB floppy drive still returns the previous error for the Sense Request command. UsbBootRequestSense() does not handle this case correctly and returns EFI_SUCCESS so that the block size of the Block IO protocol instance is set to be 0.
Solution is to fix the logic to handle the case and add protective logic to avoid setting block size to be 0.

if Usb mass storage interface returns EFI_DEVICE_ERROR, we should jump out the loop which is used to determine if the current block device supports GPT/Torito/MBR in Partition driver. This way can avoid Partition.start is interrupted by itself Partition.stop().

fix the issue of "Simple File System Protocol Test -> SetInfo_Conf failed on RAS_MB". When it print a string contained a control character of 0xc, it will hang on ConOut->OutputString() which will preprocessor some control character and call HiiStringToImage to render. There is gap between ConOut->OutputString() and HiiStringToImage.The former doesn't identify '0xc' as a line break character and assert only one line font printed. But the latter think it is so and print 2 line, which causes assertion.

I add EFI_HII_IGNORE_LINE_BREAK flag to force HiiStringToImage ignore the force line break character.
